By MSCWHub Team··8 min read

Complete bowman progression guide covering Hunter vs Marksman paths, skill builds, and DEX-focused stat allocation.

Job Advancement Path

Beginner → Archer (Lv 10) → Hunter (Bow) or Marksman (Crossbow) (Lv 30) → Ranger/Bowmaster (Lv 60+)

Critical: DEX is doubly valuable for Bowmen — it raises damage AND improves accuracy. It also synergizes with Critical Shot.

Starting Stats

• Base: 4 STR / 13 DEX / 4 LUK / 4 INT

• Per level: +4 DEX, +1 STR

• Need 25 DEX to job advance at Lv 10

Hunter (Bow) vs Marksman (Crossbow)

Hunter (Bow Path)

Pros:Faster attack speed, better for mobbing, Soul Arrow saves arrows

Cons:Slightly lower per-hit damage than crossbow

Best for:Fast clearing, solo grinding

Marksman (Crossbow Path)

Pros:Higher per-hit damage, Iron Arrow ignores some defense, Blizzard AoE

Cons:Slower attack speed

Best for:Boss damage, sustained single-target
