Thief Class Guide — From Rogue to Night Lord
Complete thief progression guide covering Assassin vs Bandit paths, LUK-focused builds, and throwing star mechanics.
Job Advancement Path
Beginner → Rogue (Lv 10) → Assassin (Claw/Dagger) or Bandit (Dagger) (Lv 30) → Hermit/Night Lord (Lv 60+)
Core Philosophy: Maximize base LUK, source all DEX from gear. Every AP point that goes into DEX instead of LUK is a direct damage loss.
Starting Stats
• Base: 4 STR / 4 DEX / 4 INT / 13 LUK
• Per level: All AP into LUK
• Need 25 LUK to job advance at Lv 10
• Source DEX from equipment to meet weapon requirements
Assassin (Claw) vs Bandit (Dagger)
Assassin (Claw Path)
Pros:Ranged attacks with throwing stars, Haste for speed, Dark Sight for stealth
Cons:Throwing stars cost mesos, fragile at low levels
Best for:Ranged DPS, fast killing
Bandit (Dagger Path)
Pros:Melee burst damage, Steal for extra drops, Savage Blow multi-hit
Cons:Must be in melee range, no ranged option
Best for:Melee DPS, meso farming via Steal

Equipment Priority
